The Open University Model UN Society (OPENMUN)
The Open University Model UN (OpenMUN) society empowers its members to participate in active UN simulations. Established in 2015 by Open University students with the support of the Student Union, the society maintains continuous national activities, and prides itself of its close contact with parallel clubs from all over the world. The OpenMUN society educating its membership and encouraging personal innovation and leadership, is comprised of students from a variety of faculties who aim to advance their skills in rhetoric, persuasion, public speaking and much more.
OpenMUN remains a pillar of Israeli Model UN excellence, hosting numerous national conferences and placing its members in key positions in the Israeli Model United Nations Association (IMUNA), governmental offices, and more.
This year OpenMUN hopes to provide its members, unique leadership programs with like-minded individuals where they can gain and develop skills in a beneficial and engaging social setting, education and guidance in preparing for competitions, and the establishment and consolidation of a sustainable long-term society, beneficial for the Open University students across the country in the coming years.
