About Ruth Moatti : 2020-2021

Ms Ruth Moatti, Israel's Youth Delegate to the United Nations (2019-2021), has been an extraordinary representative.  In her role, she represents the voice of young Israelis and shares with the international community the accomplishments, concerns and aspirations of her generation. Ruth is also the CEO of “Brera Center”. In her capacity directing the legal-social organization, she oversees the volunteering work of over a hundred law students, trained to provide legal assistance to under-privileged people.

Ruth was born and raised in Jerusalem, where she still lives today as she pursues a Law degree at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. A natural leader, she was chosen to participate in the Rothschild Ambassadors Program, a prestigious scholarship, whose purpose is to develop the social and business leadership in Israel.

Ruth served as a Lieutenant in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) International Relations Department, and as the Spokesperson of the Medical Corps. She later joined AIPAC-AIEF Israel, working with high-level delegations and government officials. Alongside her developing career, Ruth has taken part in a wide variety of social impact initiatives, including volunteering with Holocaust survivors and assisting families in socio-economic and financial difficulty so that they may regain their financial health. Ruth participated in a delegation to Uganda with ‘Project TEN’, where she volunteered with local women and developed a business and entrepreneurship course to achieve economic independence.

Ruth is dedicated to strengthening the involvement of Israeli youth in the achievement of the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals. She believes that by harnessing the Israeli spirit of innovation to global causes, the state’s youth can turn Israel into the world’s Impact Nation.

"-- President Shimon Peres, of blessed memory, said that “Without a Fantasy, you cannot do fantastic things”. My fantasy is that of a world where entrepreneurship offers all, opportunities to thrive and to soar. A world where the impact nation achieves international impact. Together, we can do fantastic things. I am confident that the youth of Israel will continue to use its skills and knowledge and turn Israel into the worlds #Impact Nation --"

“-- My dream is to turn Israel into the world’s “Impact Nation”. As a young Israeli, I believe in my generation's ability and power to use its skills and knowledge for global causes and social impact. Together we can explore new ways and opportunities to make sustainability and innovation processes to go hand in hand. Technology and moral values combined. --”
