About HaiMUN
The IMUNA Model United Nations Chapter at the University of Haifa (HaiMUN) was founded in 2010 as a course run by the School of Political Science, and as a club of the University. HaiMUN seeks to introduce students to international arena studies in general and the UN in particular.
Haifa Model UN studies engages students in an interactive and integrative method of studies, whilst allowing them to develop more intangible skills, such as public speaking, diplomacy and English fluency. A source of great pride for the HaiMUN chapter is the diversity of its participants, from Arab students from the Northern Villages, to Jewish students from the kibbbutzim, and international students hailing from London, New York, Delhi and Shanghai. This diversity offers a space for students to learn from one another, whilst also enriching the friendship circles of participants.
HaiMUN delegations yearly compete in national and international conferences, where they represent the University of Haifa and bring up glory to the Carmel. This year HaiMUN seeks to strengthen its society and increase its collaborations.
